Summer at Langton Field Static Caravan Park

Wow, well, it’s been a while since I’ve updated you on what’s been happening at Langton Field Static Caravan Park so here goes…

There’s been a lot happening, with the arrival of new caravans and finally, the chance to welcome new residents onto the park and hand them the keys to their brand new holiday homes. We’ve all had some hot summer days to enjoy and the shade of trees was very welcome.

Our area is stunning (if I say so myself!). Our holidaymakers have been making the most of the peace and quiet in the sunshine, blissful countryside walks, a glass of wine on their decking in the evening watching the sunset – just wonderful and how every holiday should be spent!

JULY – was Westmorland Dales Day

1st July saw the arrival of our Willerby Waverley – perfect for our new residents to start enjoying the summer.

Sunday 31st July in Kirkby Stephen celebrated Westmorland Dales Day. A fun-packed day of countryside stalls, craft and food markets, entertainment and activities for everyone! There were also guided walks – perfect if you are still getting to know our area, plus a display of vintage tractors. The old Stainmore railway station and Winton Park Gardens will be open and Cumbria classic coaches will run between attractions and mainline Settle-Carlisle Station. AUGUST – was a busy month

There was Appleby Beer Festival and Appleby Show – both very community-orientated events. Appleby Show has a wide variety of classes for sheep, cattle, vintage machinery, dogs, children’s pets, handicrafts, horticultural exhibitors, equestrian classes and a variety of stands with local exhibitors, children’s entertainment, a craft tent and plenty of refreshments. It’s a great way to get a feel of farming and countryside life. If you didn’t get a chance to go this year, put a date in your diary, it’s always the SECOND THURSDAY IN AUGUST.

What’s next?

We’re expecting! … Yes, we’re expecting a selection of caravans to arrive on site by the end of the year/beginning of 2023 – so be sure to check out our Caravans for sale page for more information and updates.
